Khmer New Year 2025 at the Maison du Cambodge
On Sunday, April 20th, 2025, the Maison du Cambodge in Paris welcomed hundreds of attendees for Khmer New Year 2025 – Chaul Chnam Thmey, organized by H.E. Un Bophanna, Cambodian Ambassador to UNESCO and Director of the Maison du Cambodge, in collaboration with YUVACHUN France.
It was a memorable day filled with Khmer spirituality, culture, and youth engagement in the heart of Paris.
🌸 A vibrant and spiritual program
The day began at 10 AM with a warm welcome, followed by a traditional Khmer religious ceremony at 10:30. After a shared lunch at noon, the afternoon opened with official speeches by representatives of the Ambassador, Mr. Sou David (President of YUVACHUN France), and H.E. Un Bophanna herself.
💃 Tradition meets youth on stage
At 2 PM, attendees enjoyed traditional Khmer dance performances and an impressive kun khmer martial arts demonstration. A major highlight was the on-stage presentation of Miss Cambodge en France 2025, warmly applauded by the audience.
The celebration concluded with traditional games and dances, joyfully led by YUVACHUN France and Boromey Khmer, bringing everyone together in a festive, intergenerational atmosphere.
