YUVACHUN’s history

YUVACHUN is a global network uniting Khmer youth, students, and cultural enthusiasts from around the world. With a mission to build bridges, create memories, and support Khmer individuals abroad, YUVACHUN has become a vibrant community fostering cultural pride and mutual aid. From its beginnings in Paris to its expansion across Europe and Cambodia, YUVACHUN continues to strengthen the bonds of Khmer identity worldwide.

Our Beginnings

YUVACHUN was born in 2019 out of a shared desire to connect Khmer youth worldwide and keep Cambodian culture alive across borders. The idea sparked in Paris when a group of passionate young Cambodian students, realized the need for a network that could unite Khmer youth abroad, whether from Cambodia or the diaspora. These pioneers envisioned a platform that not only promoted cultural pride but also provided a sense of belonging and mutual support.

The First Steps

In its early days, YUVACHUN focused on bridging the gap between Khmer students in France and their roots in Cambodia. Collaborating closely with the Cambodian Embassy and UNESCO Ambassador, the organization hosted events like welcoming parties for new students and cultural and art gatherings. These activities laid the foundation for what YUVACHUN would eventually become: a global network.
